Mark Maher is a graduate of the University of Wisconsin-Stevens
Point and the University of Minnesota Law School. He was an Assistant
County Attorney in St. Louis, Anoka and Hennepin County for over
20 years, developing an expertise in commercial property tax litigation.
He has trial experience for nearly every property type, including
central business district office buildings, suburban class A office
buildings, hotel, regional mall, industrial, apartment and special
purpose property. Mark has appeared many times before the Minnesota
Supreme Court and Court of Appeals. He joined the firm in 2001.
Mark is a frequent speaker on property tax and valuation
issues and has made presentations on behalf of both local and national
legal and valuation groups. He was also an instructor in the Masters
of Real Estate program at the University of St. Thomas.
Mark is active in the community as well. He currently volunteers for AMICUS. He was a board member of the Down Syndrome Association of Minnesota
and served that organization for many years, including a three-year
term as President. He was also an on-site coordinator for the Loaves
and Fishes program in Minneapolis.
